Resident Evil Village PC System Requirements & Resident Evil Re:Verse Open Beta Announced

March 26, 2021 by bartez64

Today Capcom had a few announcements to make about the upcoming Resident Evil Village and its accompanying multiplayer Re:Verse.

First of all, we get the PC system requirements for Village.

Below you can see both the minumum and recommended settings.

For now, the press release has been released only in Japanese, but most is fairly easy to understand.

In the minimum requirements listed in the first image below, the notes mention that the specs listed should let you play at 1080p, 60 FPS, but frame rate may slow down in large spaces. If you want to add ray tracing, you need a Geforce RTX 2060 or a Radeon RX 6700 XT.

Looking at the recommended settings in the second image, the first column is for no ray tracing while the second is with ray tracing enabled.

The note under the first column mentioned that you can play at 1080p / 60FPS in image quality mode, but framerate may decrease under heavy load.

The notes under the second column also indicates that the frame rate figures indicated may drop in large environments.

As for Resident Evil Re:Verse, the dates for the beta and entry conditions can be found below, directly from the official site.

Resident Evil Village will release on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, Xbox One, and Steam on May 7, 2021.

If you want to see more, you can enjoy the original announcement, a batch of screenshots, a recent cinematic trailer, another video, the latest trailer, and the latest screenshots.

If you’re unfamiliar with Resident Evil Village, here’s an official description from Capcom.

Set a few years after the critically acclaimed Resident Evil 7 biohazard, the all-new storyline begins with Ethan and his wife Mia living peacefully in a new location, free from their past nightmares. Just as they are building their new life together, tragedy befalls them once again. Chris Redfield, the legendary hero from the Resident Evil™ series who made a brief appearance in Resident Evil 7 biohazard, is reacquainted with the couple and horribly disrupts their life, leaving Ethan devastated and thrown into an entirely new nightmare.
The first-person action in Resident Evil Village begins when players assume the role of a distraught and shattered Ethan as he seeks to uncover the mysterious new horrors that plague a once peaceful village. Throughout this terrifying journey, players will fight for every breath as they are hunted by vicious new enemies that have infested the snow-capped locale. Channeling the capabilities of next generation consoles, the detailed realism and relentless feeling of fear will increase with each desperate battle for survival, while moments of calm will leave players wondering what new horrors await.
