Satechi launches USB-C On-the-Go Multiport Adapter for Windows, Mac, and Chromebooks

March 6, 2021 by justin26

There are a ton of portable USB-C docks on the market these days, and for the most part, they all do pretty much the same thing — they turn one USB-C port into several other ports. Of course, the ports offered can vary from product to product, as can the design and overall quality. In fact, a low-quality dock can actually damage your computer — Apple had to issue a macOS patch recently to protect against that very thing.

Satechi products are always high-quality, so if you are in the market for a dock, you can definitely trust its offerings. Today, that company launches its latest portable USB-C dock, and it looks great. The “USB-C On-the-Go Multiport Adapter,” as it is called, offers a lot of expandability, including both VGA and HDMI for video. It even comes with two removable cables — one of which is very short and can be stored inside the dock for ultimate portability.

“Satechi designed the new USB-C On-the-Go Multiport Adapter to incorporate the most needed ports into one sleek and modern, aluminum-finished body. The adapter has built-in USB-C PD charging (up to 100W), Gigabit Ethernet, a USB-C data port, two USB-A data ports, and micro/SD card reader slots. The adapter also features a 4K HDMI port (up to 60Hz) and a VGA port (up to 1080p 60Hz) for brilliant display options and high quality presentations anywhere,” says Satechi.

The company further says, “The USB-C On-the-Go Multiport Adapter is the ideal solution for favorited peripherals, including wired mice, keyboards, USB hard drives, perfect for data entry or transferring data on most USB-C compatible devices. For the ultimate convenience, Satechi has included two detachable cables. The short, travel-friendly cable tucks directly into the adapter for easy storage, while the longer, 3-foot cable makes it easy to configure workstations to suit users’ preferences.”

Satechi shares the specifications below.
