1] Disable ScanToPCActivationApp

As you can clearly see in the error message, the issue is somewhat related to “ScanToPCActivationApp”. We are going to disable the feature at startup and see if it helps. Follow the given steps to do the same.

  1. Open Task Manager.
  2. Go to the Startup tab.
  3. Right-click on ScanToPCActivation and select Disable.

2] Turn off Scan to computer

Scan to computer is a feature of HP Printers that automatically scans the document and send it to your computer. You have to follow the on-screen instruction to run the troubleshooter and let it resolve the issue for you. Once have rectified and resolved the issue, you can rest assured that the notification will not pop up.

4] Restart your Printer

Sometimes, the issue can be nothing but a glitch. The glitch can be resolved easily by power cycling your Printer. You need to reboot it completely and see if it helps. Follow the prescribed steps to do the same.

  1. Turn off your computer and Printer.
  2. Unplug all the cables that’s connecting your system and printer.
  3. Wait for 8 to 10 minutes.
  4. Plug all the cables back in and turn on the Printer.

5] Update Printer Drivers
