Super Mario Run is Nintendo’s first mobile game and will release Dec. 15 on the App Store (sorry, Android users). Before the fateful day comes around, fans will want to know what time the upcoming game will appear on the App Store.
Now, there have always been various reports on when apps appear in Apple’s App Store, with local time zones playing a big part or whenever Apple’s review team gets around to activating the app. As for Super Mario Run, we can safely assume the game won’t be appearing on the U.S. App Store until at least 3 a.m. EST the morning of Dec. 15.
If we had to estimate, fans should expect Super Mario Run at around 10 a.m. EST but, again, that’s just our best guess.
This could also depend on whether New Zealand, Japan or Europe gets Super Mario Run before the U.S. This was the case when Pokemon Go was first released.
New Zealand and Japan received the app before the rest of the world and the U.S. didn’t see Pokemon Go until later in the day on the East Coast (around 6 p.m.).
We reached out to Nintendo for any possible release timing for Super Mario Run and we were told that no details were available, but we will update this story as soon as we learn more or whether other regions of the world get the game first.
Super Mario Run will cost $9.99 as a one-off payment for the full game.
