Mass Effect: Andromeda PC system requirements revealed

EA and BioWare’s Mass Effect: Andromeda is just a few weeks away from launch. This weekend the game reached a number of development milestones; it went gold, the PC minimum and recommended specs were published, and we hear the game will launch on EA Access and Origin Access five days earlier than the scheduled general availability on 21st March. In the last week or so EA has also uploaded quite a few new videos showcasing gameplay and features so it’s worth a glance through the official YouTube playlist if you are at all interested.

The story led sci-fi action RPG blockbuster has the following minimum and recommended specs for enjoyment on PCs:

  • VIDEO CARD: NVIDIA GTX 1060 3GB, AMD RX 480 4GB
  • HARD DRIVE: At least 55GB of free space
  • DIRECTX: DirectX 11

The game’s download size on PC is expected to be 55GB and there will be a day one patch which should be available for the Origin Access launch date of 16th March. It’s not just big in terms of downloads, Mass Effect: Andromeda is said to be BioWare’s biggest ever game – stuffed with galactic and alien planetary goodness. Players will enjoy the huge explorable areas, character variety, frantic combat, RPG skill tree development, and loadout flexibility. Gamespot spoke to BioWare producer Fabrice Condominas who said the new game looked back at the preceding trilogy and tried to build in the best parts of all three.
