Atari has recently announces that they are coming back into the console market, and are releasing a console dubbed the “AtariBox” and the kicker is; it runs Linux! On Sept. 26, Atari released a new photo of the Ataribox, made of real wood, and I must say that it looks absolutely gorgeous! A video of the device can be found on the Ataribox homepage. Atari will reveal Tempest 4000 at Gamescom later this month

Atari has announced that it has partnered with "Legendary Game Designer" Jeff Minter to reboot the adrenaline pumping Tempest sci-fi tube shooter. Tempest 4000 is "a visually stunning, action-packed shooter based on the classic arcade game, Tempest," and will be launched on current gen consoles and PCs in time for Xmas.
