The Elder Scrolls V Skyrim VR Will Not Feature Mod Support At Launch

The Elder Scrolls V Skyrim VR launches on PlayStation VR in just a few days, and many are anticipating being able to enjoy the popular RPG again in a brand new way. Sadly, one of the best features introduced by last year’s Special Edition will not be in.

In a recent livestream, Bethesda assistant community director Matt Grandstaff confirmed that The Elder Scrolls V Skyrim VR will have no mod support at launch, but it might receive it if something can be figured out.

Presently there is no mod support in the game. If it’s something we can figure out as a possibility we’ll let everybody know, but right now Skyrim VR is everything that’s in the base game plus all the DLC content.

As mentioned, Skyrim VR will include all the content released for the original version of the game.

A true, full-length open-world game for VR has arrived from award-winning developers, Bethesda Game Studios. Skyrim VR reimagines the complete epic fantasy masterpiece with an unparalleled sense of scale, depth, and immersion. From battling ancient dragons to exploring rugged mountains and more, Skyrim VR brings to life a complete open world for you to experience any way you choose. The game includes the critically-acclaimed core game and official add-ons – Dawnguard, Hearthfire, and Dragonborn.

Dragons, long lost to the passages of the Elder Scrolls, have returned to Tamriel and the future of the Empire hangs in the balance. As Dragonborn, the prophesied hero born with the power of The Voice, you are the only one who can stand amongst them.

The Elder Scrolls V Skyrim VR launches on PlayStation VR on November 11th. It’s also supposed to release for HTC Vive sometime during 2018.
