  3. Expand the Imaging devices branch.
  4. Right-click the printer and select the Uninstall driver option.

  5. Click the Uninstall button.

  1. Open Start.
  2. Search for gpedit and click the top result to open the Group Policy Editor.
  3. Browse the following path:

    Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > Printers

  4. Double-click the Point and Print Restrictions policy.

  5. Select the Enabled option.
  6. Under the “Options” section, in the “Security Prompts” area, select the Show warning and elevation prompt option for the “When installing drivers for a new connection” setting.

  7. Select the Show warning and elevation prompt option for the “When updating drivers for an existing connection” setting.
  8. Click the Apply button.
  9. Click the OK button.
