These MW2 Weapons Will Probably Be Busted in Warzone 2

We’re on the precipice of a new era in Call of Duty as Warzone 2.0‘s imminent launch draws ever nearer. While many folks out there are chomping at the bit to get straight into the action, we thought it’d be a good time to take stock during the calm before the storm and reflect on what guns could potentially be the new meta in Activision’s latest iteration of its hugely popular free-to-play battle royale.

With Modern Warfare 2 dropping recently, it’s fair to say that many fans are busy ranking up their guns in multiplayer in a bid to get them ready for Warzone 2.0. The thing is, with the emphasis on longer range within the battle royale’s latest map, Al Razrah, the strongest guns from Infinity Ward’s multiplayer component may not necessarily transition as smoothly over for a number of reasons.

Namely, the Time-to-Kill (TTK) is going to be greatly increased thanks to the body armor that players can implement on the battlefield in Warzone. Still, we can make some educated guesses as to what could be the most powerful weapons in Warzone 2.0.

Firstly, the M4 is an absolute monster in multiplayer, and we still think that it can hold its own in Warzone 2.0. This Assault Rifle is incredibly reliable boasting solid damage output, recoil control, and accuracy. It’s also a very solid option for both mid to long-range encounters, while also being no slouch during closer range skirmishes, either.

Another potential Warzone 2.0 meta gun could be the RPK, which is another incredibly powerful weapon in Modern Warfare 2’s multiplayer that also boasts a really fast reload speed. Frankly, it absolutely shreds. Thing is, though, there’s a good chance that Infinity Ward will likely balance the LMG due to its overpowering nature.

Lastly, the SA-B 50 bolt-action marksman rifle is another beast to be reckoned with and is one of the most dominant weapons in Modern Warfare 2 right now. Not only does it have significant one-shot potential, but it also has incredibly snappy ADS, which is unusual for sniper rifle.

Of course, these are just a few options that come to mind as we’re making our first drops, but it’s not exhaustive. There are a ton of insane, possibly busted MW2 weapons that could be devastating. Here are a few more:

  • The Lachmann 556
  • The Vaznev-9K
  • The HCR 56
  • The Minibak
  • The EBR-14
  • The SO-14

We’ll find out for sure what the meta guns really are when Warzone 2.0 finally launches, but these are our picks for ones to look out for. But what say you, though? Do you have any predictions? Mantle down to the usual place below to let us know.
