Thor 1600W : Asus adds a very big block to its power supply series !

Asus continues to expand its Thor power supply series with a new high power model. The new unit in question has a lot to offer with its 1600W. So here is the Thor 1600W certified 80+ Titanium!

Thor 1600W: big power and big certification!

Asus Thor 1600WWith this new iteration, Asus continues to offer us visually neat blocks… Even if they will end up under a power supply cover… But it doesn’t matter because we find a side display showing the power consumption of the configuration.

Otherwise, as we said, this is a very high power block with 1600W. Here, we can supply very large configurations with several graphics cards or with a very large CPU. In addition, the certification should guarantee an excellent performance with 80+ Platinum.

Inside, we find large heatsinks, more than what we find in equivalent blocks. Similarly, the cooling is provided by a semi-passive 135mm AxialTech fan. On the electrical side, this power supply benefits from a single 12V 133.3A rail as well as a whole bunch of protection.

The connectivity will necessarily be very complete, but it also embeds the famous PCIe 5.0 connector. However, unlike to other models of the series it is the 12+4 pin model. The power delivered by the latter will be 600W and not 450W.

For the moment, no price is known, but you should clearly not expect an affordable reference, far from it.
