NVIDIA RTX 2060 Super, 2070 Super 11% & 20% Faster than RTX 2060 and 2070 in AoTS

The CPU market is experiencing its best years in over a decade. However, the same can’t be said for the graphics card market. Sure, the situation is a little better compared to the last two years, but that’s not saying much. We have been getting reminded over and over again that neither AMD’s Navi graphics cards nor NVIDIA’s RTX Super GPUs are going to be as powerful as originally anticipated. The Radeon RX 5700 XT looks to be on par with the RTX 2070 while the 5700 might be in a better position. Moving over to NVIDIA’s upcoming Super cards, the initial claims said that they would be 15-20% faster than the vanilla cards, but seems like the actual figures could be smaller.

The Ashes of the Singularity score for the RTX 2070 Super and 2060 Super has been shared by APISAK and while the former shows an encouraging gain over the original 2070, the 2060 S seems a bit lackluster. The 2070 S is exactly 20% faster than its predecessor while the 2060 S is a mere 11%. It’s possible that this is because this game is shader intensive and the latter’s main strength is a wider bus. Still, the fact that the 2070 Super is a meaty 20% faster in an AMD title says a lot. Looks like the RX 5700 cards will have some tough customers.
