Weight Watchers is offering an “Online Plus” promotion plan that includes the Apple Watch, promising a more “easier and more personal” weight loss journey.
With the new promo, participants with the Apple Watch combined with the iPhone can earn “FitPoints” with the waterproof watch while doing exercises like running and swimming.
With the plan, participants can track and plan their day with the iPhone app and the Apple Watch. Users can also sync their step count with the Apple Health app and use Apple’s heart rate sensor.
Those who want to participate in the plan that offers the 38mm Apple Watch pay a one-time $99.95 fee. After the first payment, users will be charged $34.95 per month for the next 12 months until the program is cancelled. The 42mm Apple Watch is not offered with the promo. An online plan without the 38mm Apple Watch included is priced at $242 for 13 months.
The Apple Watch Series 2 was announced in September alongside the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. The watch has an original price of $369 for the 38mm version, which Weight Watchers is offering, and goes up to $1,299 for the new 42-millimeter white ceramic edition.
Apple is not a participant in or sponsor of the promotion, Weight Watchers said.
