Xbox One free Games with Gold for September 2020: The Division and more

Every month, Xbox One gamers can download and play a selection of free games as part of an Xbox Live Gold subscription.

Xbox Live Gold is more than just free games though. It also gives Xbox One X, Xbox One S or even original Xbox One owners the chance to play their games online and discounts on many digital games on the Xbox Store.

Membership in the UK usually costs £17.99 for three-months or £49.99 for a whole year’s membership when paid up front. Alternatively, you can choose to pay monthly for £6.99 a month.

In our opinion though, the best way to subscribe is through Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. For just £10.99 per month, you get Xbox Live Gold membership, Xbox Game Pass with access to over 200 games to download and play, plus Xbox Game Pass for PC with more than 100 Windows 10 titles.

Here is the free Xbox Games with Gold list for September 2020:

Tom Clancy’s The Division

The game that truly first showcased the power of the Xbox One, The Division is an online multiplayer co-operative shoot-em-up set in a destroyed New York City. It’s great fun, especially with teams of friends. But even when you are alone, you can go on missions and raids by simply matchmaking with others.

The Book of Unwritten Tales 2

A very sweet point-and-click adventure, The Book of Unwritten Tales 2 is both funny and challenging. There is 20 hours worth of story, so you should be gripped for a while.

de Blob 2

You are the Blob – a gelatinous mass who has to stop the inkies ridden the world of colour. Or something.

Armed and Dangerous

Not the prettiest to look at these days, but Lucasart’s Armed and Dangerous is a true classic. Very funny too.

Armed and Dangerous and de Blob 2 are orginal Xbox and Xbox 360 games respectively, available through backward compatibility. They are also available to Xbox 360 owners with Xbox Live Gold.

Of last month’s free games, Override: Mech City Brawl will still be available for download until 15 September 2020.
