Xiaomi Mi A3 with Snapdragon 730, Mi A3 Lite with Snapdragon 675 SoC to launch soon

Recently, on Twitter, Xiaomi confirmed that the Xiaomi Mi A3 is on the way. The Android One device will launch “very soon,” according to a series of tweets.

The Mi A3 has a design not the same as its predecessor, Mi A2, and seems to be like the lately declared Mi CC9. It has an notched display and flaunts a triple camera arrangement at the back. The Mi A2 came with a metal build while the Mi A3 gives off an impression of being made of glass.

Besides, the Mi A2 had a unique fingerprint scanner on its back but the Mi A3 doesn’t have one, which suggests it’s likely embedded in the screen. Moreover, the Mi A2 had the earphone jack missing which ended up being a major issue for some, so Xiaomi has carried it back with the Mi A3.

Coming on to specifications, the source says that the Mi A3 will be powered with Snapdragon 665 SoC which contradicts previous reports of the phone boasting Snapdragon 730.

The Mi A3 will sport a 6″ FHD+ AMOLED display, have 4GB RAM, and will be offered in 64GB and 128GB storage options. The smartphone will also have a microSD card slot allowing storage expansion – a feature that was missing from the Mi A2.

The Mi A3 will come with a 32MP selfie shooter and a 48MP main sensor at the back joined by 8MP and 2MP units. The Mi A3 will run on a 4,000mAh battery and will rely on a USB-C port for charging. Since it is an Android One smartphone, it will run a near stock version of Android Pie with potential for speedy updates.

Xiaomi has already started teasing the Mi A3 but hasn’t uncovered its dispatch date yet. In any case, considering the way that its forerunner was declared a year ago in July, we can expect the Mi A3 to go official soon.
