YouTube Go App For Less Data Usages Available on Android Now as Google had announced last year that it was going to launch an android app called YouTube Go for those users that wanted not to waste too much data while watching and sharing videos. It is now available for you to try.

The app will let you choose whether you want to stream the video directly and watch it or download them for offline viewing, a new feature that was recently introduced, in low or standard quality modes. There is also an option to send videos to other local users on YouTube Go, via an Adhoc Wi-Fi hotspot so that neither’s data is used for the transfer.

To sum it all up, it is an offline app that has a more social spin to it. The video previews load before the downloading so that you can decide if you want to view or download the video or not. You also have the feature to select the resolution and to see how much space each resolution level will take before you save a video. And the best feature, you can share your saved videos with friends via Bluetooth transfer.

Those who are on Wi-Fi most of the time or those who are on unlimited data plans do not need this app. However, it is the perfect app for those people who are data conscious and wish to save their data in whichever way is possible. Presently, its home screen displays a curated feed off that video that has the download option available. However, this list might not be as appealing to many as the recommended list on the standard YouTube app. Another con here is that you can’t choose 720p or higher quality streams.

However, despite all of that it will be a boon to those users that are looking for ways to save up their data. And the offline video sharing feature is exciting and helpful.
